# Install Jobwright

Install the Jobwright desktop app, activate one computer with your product key, and confirm that the local services are ready.

Jobwright runs on your computer. The installer adds the desktop app and the local services that it needs.

## Before you install

Keep the official download and your product key ready. Do not share the product key. One product key activates one computer at a time.

Close an older Jobwright installer before you start a new one. Keep enough free space for the app, its managed browser, and your local documents.

## Windows

Install Jobwright and your AI agent in Windows. Do not install the agent only in WSL. Jobwright cannot launch an agent that exists only in WSL.

Each AI agent guide includes a Windows PowerShell command when the agent supports native Windows.

## Install and activate

Use the download for your computer. Keep your product key private.

1. Download Jobwright from the official download page.
2. Open the downloaded file and follow the instructions for your computer.
3. Open Jobwright and enter your product key when asked.
4. If you already subscribed, do not start another subscription. Contact billing@jobwright.io from the email used at checkout if you lost the key.

## Confirm the installation

1. Open Jobwright.
2. Wait for the initial system check to finish.
3. Open **Settings**, then open **System**.
4. Confirm that the local services and managed browser show a ready state.

If a service is not ready, restart Jobwright once. Use the message in **System** if the problem continues.

## Next step

Connect the local AI agent that Jobwright will use. A browser chat page does not replace the local agent.
